Spanglish
I created this book to book explore Spanglish as more than a mix of two languages, but as a reflection of culture, identity, and lived experience. Through storytelling and visual experimentation, it captures what it feels like to live between and fight for two cultures. How that in-between space built community and shaped connection, and self-expression.

Code – Switching ?
Code-switching is the practice of moving between languages depending on the situation or the people you're with. Over time, it has grown beyond language alone—it also reflects how we shift our tone, attitude, and identity as we move between different spaces. In this way, Spanglish becomes more than a way of speaking; it becomes a way of navigating cultures, relationships, and everyday life.
Por que Spanglish?
Spanglish culture isn't new. We still see it reflected in the media we consume. Just because it isn't labeled as Spanglish outside the home doesn't mean it isn't there. Its influence can be seen in music, dance, movies, fashion, design, and the way stories are told. Spanglish has become more than a language—it's a cultural identity shared by millions, yet authentic representation of that experience is still rare.
